Arthur már nagy izgalommal várja a nagy nap éjszakáját, mikor utoljára visszatérhet a villangók országába, hogy találkozzon Holdviola hercegnővel. De Arthur édesapja mit sem törődve ezzel, előbb szeretne hazautazni. Mikor már épp indulnának egy pók Arthur kezébe tesz egy rizsszemet, melybe S.O.S. jeleket karcoltak. Kétség sem férhet hozzá, Holdviola hercegnő bajban van! Azonban a legnagyobb meglepetés akkor éri Arthurt, mikor rájön, hogy a villangók országából senki sem küldött neki segélykérő üzenetet. De akkor mégis, ki csalhatta oda ilyen agyafúrt trükkel a mi kis hősünket?
