Adam Sandler játssza a Walt Disney Pictures Esti mesék című fergeteges, kalandokkal teli, szívhez szóló vígjátékának főszerepét. Skeeter Bronsont (Adam Sandler) megkéri testvére (Courteney Cox), hogy vigyázzon a gyerekeire. A nagybátyó szabadjára engedi a fantáziáját és olyan esti meséket kanyarít, amelyeknek valahogyan mindig ő lesz a főhőse. A két kis krampusz viszont mindig hozzáteszi a maga apró változtatásait. És akkor megtörténik a varázslat! Amit a srácok mesélnek, másnapra mind Skeeter valóságává válik. Először úgy tűnik, vagyonokat lehet így szerezni, de aztán kiderül, hogy a boldog vég nem ilyen egyszerű: a férfinak valódi kalandokra kell indulnia, ha mesebeli életre vágyik.
