Henryt szörnyű tragédia éri, menyasszonya, a gyönyörű Kate az esküvőjük napján halálos balesetet szenved. Húga tanácsára Henry pszichológushoz fordul segítségért, hogy feldolgozza a történteket. Meglepetésére nemcsak csinos nő a lélekbúvár, a módszere is sajátos: a szerelem erejével gyógyít. Olyannyira, hogy rögvest egymásba is szeretnek.
