A Dead Space-hez hasonlóan, Dante is megkapta a maga kis egész estét betöltő animejét. Az anime szót csak azért fogom használni, mert ha azt írom, hogy mese, az gyerekesnek hangzik, ez pedig minden, csak nem gyerekes. Aki ismeri Dante Alighieri La Divina Commedia, avagy az Isteni Színjáték című szerzeményét, nos még az is félredobhatja egy kicsit a művet, mert mind a játéknak, mind ennek az animének csak egy ugródeszka. A sötét erdős rész ahogy a játékban ( majd egy DLC formájában), úgy az animéban is elenyésző rész, mondhatni csak utalás szinten tűnik fel, és mire észbe kapunk, Beatrice már meg is halt. Sebaj, legalább gyorsabban bepörögnek az események. Ahogy az alapműben, itt is feltűnik Vergilius, aki végigvezeti, megmutatja Dantenak a pokol kilenc körét. Persze az utolsóban már nem kíséri el, mert ott már Lucifer van. Azt hiszem ennyi elég is a történetről. Aki ismeri a klasszikus irományt, az vegye azt, és jól csavarja ki, mint a véres törölközőt.

A jó detektív sosem nyaral. 2006 legmenőbb akciófilmjében, a Crank - Felpörögvében Chev Chelios huszonnégy órát élt át a legnagyobb pörgésben: harcolt, gyilkolt, és nem hagyta, hogy a vérében lévő adrenalin lecsökkenjen, mivel akkor a testében lévő méreg végzett volna vele. A magas oktánszámú Crank 2.- Magasfeszültségben Chev ismét a túlélésre játszik, csakhogy ezúttal egy újabb kihívásokkal teli nap virrad fel előtte. Pontosan ott vehetjük fel a vonalat, ahol az első rész abbamaradt: Chev túléli az óriási zuhanást Los Angeles utcáira, de rögtön elrabolja őt egy kínai gengszter. Három hónappal később magához tér, és szomorúan fedezi fel, hogy a szinte elpusztíthatatlan szívét eltávolították, és egy elemmel működő új szívet kapott a helyére, amelynek rendszeresen elektromos lökésekre van szüksége ahhoz, hogy igazán működőképes legyen. Miután kiszabadul elrablói fogságából, Chev menekülőre fogja a dolgot. Nyomában a karizmatikus mexikói bandavezérrel, El Huronnal, és a kínai triádokkal, akiket az állítólag száz éves és rendkívül veszélyes Poon Dong vezet. Rob (Michael Stahl-David) egy New York-i fiatalember, aki nemsokára Japánba költözik. Amerikai pilóták várakoznak az Adrián egy anyahajón. A közelben háború dúl, ők mégsem mozdulhatnak. Amikor azonban egy rutin felderítő repülés során egyikük, az akcióra legéhesebb pilóta, az elfoglalt bosnyák terület fölött lefényképez valamit, elszabadul a pokol. A gépet lelövik, a katapultáló pilóták egyikét a szerbek elfogják és kivégzik. A másik elrejtőzik és igyekszik kiképzésének megfelelően átvészelni az ellenséges területen azt az időszakot, amíg érte nem jön a mentőalakulat. De a mentőalakulat nem jön. Míg ő borzasztóbbnál borzasztóbb kalandokon megy keresztül, az amerikai hatóságok csupán diplomáciai bonyodalmat sejtenek az esetében és ragaszkodnak eddigi taktikájukhoz: jobb, ha nem történik semmi. Ám a túlélő pilóta közvetlen felettese életében először elhatározza, hogy nem engedelmeskedik a parancsnak. Magánháborúba kezd, hogy megmentse életveszélyben lévő katonatársát.
