Giselle-t, a szépséges hercegnőt a gonosz királynő száműzi a varázslatos, dalokkal teli rajzfilmvilágból. Ennek következményeként a lány a mai, modern Amerikában találja magát. Giselle először elborzad New Yorktól, melyben feje tetejére állnak a mesevilágban ismert tételek. Azután találkozik Roberttel, a válóperes ügyvéddel, aki kisegíti a bajból, és akibe lassan, de biztosan beleszeret. Igaz, hazájában már eljegyezte őt Edward herceg. A dolgok összekavarodnak, amikor megjelenik a herceg, ráadásul a gonosz királynő is New Yorkba érkezik, hogy a hercegnő életére törjön.

Az Oviapu óvó bácsijai olyan helyre merészkednek, ahová eddig még soha: a táborba. Charlie és Phil, a világ legelvetemültebb gyerekvigyázói nyílt terepen teszik próbára képességeiket. Egy sajnálatos baleset során Alvin leteríti barátjukat és producerüket, Davidet, így a trió kénytelen Dave unokatestvéréhez, Tobyhoz költözni, akinek kissé mások a nevelési elvei: a három kis barát kénytelen beiratkozni a helyi iskolába. A suli azonban csupa új veszélyt jelent: a rocksztárok kénytelenek szembenézni a lecke meg a sport kihívásaival, majd megküzdeni a legnagyobb problémával - a lányokkal. A színen ugyanis feltűnik egy három csinos mókuslányból álló együttes - a trió korábbi, gonosz menedzsere belőlük akar sikercsapatot faragni. Még szerencse, hogy előbb-utóbb az ellenfelek rájönnek: mindig jobb együtt zenélni, mint külön!
