Egy éjjel brutálisan bántalmazott, állapotos kamaszlányt visznek be egy londoni kórházba. A lány belehal a szülésbe, és az ügyeletben lévő nővér, Anna elhatározza, hogy megkeresi a rokonait. A lánynál talál egy orosz nyelven írt naplót, benne egy étterem kártyájával. Amikor felkeresi az elegáns orosz éttermet, nem is sejti, hogy milyen veszélybe sodorta magát. Az étterem tulajdonosa a helyi orosz maffia vezetője, aki éppen azon ügyködik, hogy fia, Kirill egyik meggondolatlan tettét elsimítsa. Ebben nagy segítségére van Nyikolaj, Kirill sofőrje, aki mindig profin gondoskodik arról, hogy az útban lévő hullák eltűnjenek. Amikor Anna rájön, hogy a nála lévő napló nemcsak rá, hanem a családjára és a kisbabára is halálos fenyegetést jelent, már nem tud kiszállni, a maffia gépezete beindult.

A bűnözői pályára lépők közül keveseknek adatik meg a visszavonulás lehetősége, főleg olyan mennyiségű pénzzel, amelyre egész hátralévő életüket alapozhatják. John (Val Kilmer – Szemtől szemben, Dr. Moreau szigete, Top Gun) viszont belenyúl a tutiba, amikor megszerez egy aktatáskát, melynek tartalma egyesek számára igencsak sokat ér.

Az őt üldöző rendőrök és gengszterek elől menekülve egy parkban rejtőzik el, ahol azonban egy egyedül lévő kisfiú ráébreszti arra, hogy mielőtt lelépne a napfényes Floridába, rendeznie kell kapcsolatát a lányával, és ki kell békülnie volt feleségével (Marg Helgenberger – CSI: A helyszínelők).

Csakhogy erre mindössze pár órája van, különben könnyen előfordulhat, hogy a pénz helyett csak a testébe fúródó golyókat számolhatja meg.

Az utolsó meló izgalmas, fordulatokban gazdag film, remek színészi alakításokkal.

Az egyik kábítószer-razzia tragikus következményekkel jár New Yorkban. A bűnözők négy zsarut kelepcébe csalnak és a kialakult tűzharcban kettő közülük életét veszti, a másik kettő pedig életveszélyes sérüléseket szenved. Az eset kivizsgálásával Ray Tierney nyomozót bízzák meg. Ray régi zsarufamília tagja, a családban apáról fiúra száll az egyenruha tisztelete. A nyomozást nehezíti, hogy az áldozatoknak Ray bátyja volt a parancsnoka, míg a sógora gyakran velük járőrözött. Minél mélyebbre ás Ray az ügyben, annál feszültebb lesz köztük a viszony. Az ifjú hamarosan választás elé kerül.
