Roger Ferris CIA-ügynök céltudatos és bátor ember, nem fél senkitől és semmitől. Életét a jó ügyért folytatott harcra tette fel. A cég veteránja, Ed Hoffman viszont otthonról, a laptopja segítségével irányítja a terepen mozgó emberét. Ferris hamarosan új feladatot kap, el kell kapnia a terroristavezért. Az akció során együtt kell működnie a jordán titkosszolgálattal, meg kell próbálnia beépülni a terrorista szervezetbe. Ferris a fél világon keresztül üldözi emberét, ám minél közelebb kerül hozzá, annál több ellentmondásba és hazugságba ütközik. Rájön, hogy igazából csak önmagára számíthat.
